Who we are

The WA Children’s Funders Alliance (the Alliance) is an information-sharing collaboration of funders and philanthropists who are committed to improving the lives of children, young people, and families across Western Australia.

Our Goals

We aim to achieve greater impact through enhancing our individual and collective giving and investing in WA by learning about, sharing, connecting, and complementing each other’s work.

How We Work

The Alliance is all about collaboration and developing shared insight. Our members meet several times a year to:

Share

Share information about our funding priorities and focus areas.

Understand

Enhance our knowledge of the complex interconnected systems at play and how best to support WA’s children.

Explore

Explore opportunities to achieve impact, individually or collectively.

Please Note: As the Alliance is an information-sharing collaboration, it does not currently provide any funding or accept funding requests directly

Funding opportunities are shared between our members based on the relationships and proposals they receive directly through their usual processes.

If you wish to apply for funding, please contact the relevant member directly or visit their website.

Who We Work With

By sharing and learning together, this contributes to the creation of a stronger ecosystem of support for children, young people, and their communities.

In doing so, we engage with:

  • WA State Government
  • Commissioner for Children and Young People WA
  • WA Council of Social Services (WACOSS), including its Children’s Policy Council
  • Other philanthropic alliances, not-for-profits, and sector leaders

Our Executive Convenor

Megan Enders is the Executive Convenor of the WA Children’s Funders Alliance and in this role helps to bring together philanthropy, government, and for-purpose organisations to align their efforts for greater impact.

Megan is committed to creating positive societal change. In her role as Convenor, she works to build trusted relationships, foster collaboration, and help align investment and action around improving the lives of children and families across Western Australia.

Her passion for this work stems from over a decade of leadership in the for-purpose sector, most notably with the Fogarty Foundation, where she served as the Founding Director of the Fogarty EDvance program and later as CEO. Megan also served as a Trustee on the Foundation’s Board for several years.

She brings a wealth of leadership and change management experience from her time as an executive in both the corporate and for-purpose sectors and as a management consultant in people management and leadership. Her career began in the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet, and she later worked with a Federal Minister.
